Fitchner au Barca
Ares
Fitchner au Barca is the Gold Proctor assigned to House Mars at the The Institute. He advises Darrow and explains the Institute's politics.
Fitchner is Sevro's father. He warns Darrow about the Proctors' interference, though Darrow later fights and defeats him.
Fitchner becomes the Rage Knight and saves Darrow from Octavia's party on Mars. He reveals that he is Ares, founder of the The Sons of Ares. His wife Bryn was a Red, and her murder after the birth of Sevro drove him into rebellion. He is killed before the Triumph, where Roque presents his severed head to Darrow.
Sevro identifies Cassius as his father's killer.
